DIY Entry Hooks

We've made some progress on our little home since we first moved in but we're going much slower than I had hoped.  We did finally get some entry hooks hung in our hallway and I'm really excited about it!

I found these hooks at Hobby Lobby and it was on sale for 40% off so it was less than $20!  I was so excited because I had my eye on hooks like these HERE but didn't want to pay so much.

The hooks didn't come with the wood back so I made my own.  Luckily I make my husband keep scrap wood for me haha.  I took two 2x4's and had my husband cut them to the length I wanted.  Then I stained them with Minwax Early American stain.  I had my hubby screw the two 2x4's together by screwing it to two vertical 1x2's on the back (sorry I'm lame and didn't take a picture).  Then he took long screws and screwed it directly into the wall.

I'm so in love!  I want to add a little pew or bench beneath and maybe a quote above the hooks.  I can't wait to see what it looks like when I'm done!

By the way, the hat and bag were from the Target dollar spot!

Step by step, my first little house is coming together.  Thanks for following along on the journey with me!
