Princess Valentines

I grew up a little Disney obsessed.  My sisters and I knew all the movies by heart.  We sang all the songs and we wore plastic tiaras and clopped around in dress up heels.  Disney princesses have a special place in my heart.  I know there is no shortage of Disney princess valentines out there but this is my version.  My simple, imperfect tribute to each of the princesses that I love.  

My sisters and I each had a designated princess that was "our" princess.  Mine is Aurora.  Do you have a princess?  My daughter has seen all the movies and her favorite right now is of course Moana.  I'll confess that I almost didn't include Moana because she says herself that she's "not a princess" but I ended up agreeing with Maui when he says "If you wear a dress and have an animal sidekick, you're a princess."

 It's so much more than that though isn't it?  These princesses taught me to be brave, to believe in myself, to not give up.  To a little girl, a princess is not just a cartoon, she's a role model.
