So, we moved into our brand new house at the end of December and all of our stuff is moved in but our walls are still bare and there may or may not still be boxes in my kitchen. I'm a planner and I have to have everything planned out before I can decide what pictures should go where. My house is a huge blank canvas and I honestly can't sleep at night because I'm too busy plotting and scheming how to 'Joanna Gaines' my home :) . Though it would be easier to be completely in charge of what our house looks like, I know I've got to include my husband in my decisions and clue him in before I come home with my big purchases. So, I thought this inspiration board was a good idea not only for me to visualize but also for him to see my vision too.
1.Round Mirror / 2. Vanity Light / 3. Shower Curtain / 4. Ikea Plant / 5. Floating Shelves / 6. Glass Jar / 7. Hand Soap / 8. Towels / 9. Faucet / 10. Wire Basket /
1. Round Mirror
Okay, I'm seriously in love with this mirror. It's so unique and not like all those other 'square' mirrors out there. Liz Marie from Liz Marie Blog has one in her beautiful bathroom (see it HERE) and I'm in love with it. There's one on Amazon HERE and also a mirror just like it at World Market, see it HERE.
2. Vanity Light
I really love industrial lights. I can go back and forth on furniture, whether I like the farmhouse, chippy, antique look or the pipe like industrial look, but with lighting, I almost always go for industrial. Love this one from Amazon HERE.
3. Shower Curtain
My family laughs at me and my obsession with white things but I love the way it makes a room look cleaner and brighter. I like this one from Amazon because it's white but it's got a subtle herringbone pattern to it too, see it HERE.
4. Ikea Plant
I don't have a green thumb and any poor unsuspecting plant that makes it into my house is almost certainly doomed. Thank goodness for Ikea and their fake plants! The closest Ikea for me is five hours away so I don't get to go very often, but I always snag a few plants when I'm there. If you live far from one too, you can also buy them on Amazon like the one HERE!
5. Floating Shelves
I love my new house but one thing it doesn't have yet is a linen closet. Absolutely no shelves to put my extra towels, washcloths, and linens. These DIY shelves like the ones from The Blesser House are just perfect! They don't look too hard to make and I'd love to fill it like she does with washcloths and toiletries for our guests.
6. Glass Jar
I don't think I can have too many glass jars. I think I need at least one in every room in the house. I'd fill the one in the bathroom with either different soaps or sea shells. I like these ones on Amazon HERE.
7. Hand Soap
I used to buy cheap hand soap from the dollar store because I thought it was dumb spending money on something that literally goes down the drain, but then I realized I was also making my bathroom look cheap and that just buying a pretty looking soap can instantly update the space. I love this one from World Market, see it HERE.
8. Towels
Ok, here's me ranting and raving about white again. But honestly, white is like magic and makes any room look better, in my opinion. When I was first married, I naively thought that I needed blue towels. Now that I've changed them out for white, I love how clean they look (thank you bleach!). I got mine at Costco.
9. Faucet
I think the faucet is one of my favorite things on this board. It really will change the look of my bathroom. Right now, we have the regular silver faucet that you see in every bathroom. I love this one on Amazon HERE.
10. Wire Basket
I'm not above shopping at Walmart. Sometimes they have really good things there and at their low Walmart price, it's happy dance time. I really like their wire baskets and for only $7 it's a freaking steal! See it HERE.
I'd love for you to follow along with me! Find me on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.
