He is Not Here

I love Easter time!  My mom always made Easter special for us.  We'd usually wake up to the smell of warm orange cinnamon rolls and afterwards we'd find the eggs and our baskets hidden around the house.  My baby girl is old enough for an Easter egg hunt this year and I'm so excited to snap some pictures of her in her Easter dress!  But all Easter eggs and gooey warm roll goodness aside, I love Easter because it reminds me of what my Savior did for me.

I was getting angry and frustrated trying to draw in perfect handwriting on my chalkboard, so I decided to create a printable and make things easier on myself. If you don't know about this trick, it'll change your world!

The cute graphic at the bottom is from We Lived Happily Ever After.  She has cutest graphics! Check them out HERE.   To transfer onto a chalkboard first you need to print out your design.  You can print this printable HERE.  Next, take a piece of chalk, turn it on its side and rub it on the back of the picture.  Now place your paper on top of your chalkboard and using your pen (or a pencil you can press down hard on), trace out your design.  Make sure you press down hard enough.  When you take away your paper, there should be a faint outline.  Use it as a guide to fill it in.  Much easier than trying to do everything by just looking at it!

It's not perfect, but it looks much better than anything I could freehand.  If you'd rather just have a picture of the print itself HERE's a 5x7 and a 8x10 picture HERE.    Happy Easter!
